An LCD1602 I2C display is a 16×2 character screen attached to a small serial adapter board that reduces wiring to just four pins: GND, VCC, SDA, and SCL. It lets you show text using the I2C communication protocol instead of many digital pins.
Pin Connections
- GND: Connect to ground (0V)
- VCC: Connect to 5V power
- SDA: Connect to the I2C data pin (A4 on an Uno)
- SCL: Connect to the I2C clock pin (A5 on an Uno)
